Ingredients

  • 0.45 kg ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 0.5 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and the egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions. Take a portion and flatten it in your hand. Place a slice of turkey bacon on top and roll it up, enclosing the bacon inside the turkey mixture. Repeat with the remaining portions.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. This ensures the rolls cook evenly.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Place the turkey rolls seam-side down in a single layer in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the turkey rolls in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Flip them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  • Ensure the internal temperature of the turkey rolls reaches 165°F (74°C). If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the peppered turkey rolls from the air fryer. Allow them to cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve with BBQ sauce for dipping if desired.
