Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup of pepperoni slices (or your choice of toppings)

1/4 cup of fresh basil, chopped (optional)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Olive oil spray (or melted butter for brushing)

Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

Prepare the Pizza Dough: If using store-bought pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/4 inch thick. If using homemade, roll it out according to your recipe instructions.

Cut the Dough: Using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut the rolled-out dough into small squares (around 3x3 inches).

Fill the Rolls: Place a small amount (1 tablespoon) of shredded mozzarella cheese onto the center of each square. Top with 1-2 slices of pepperoni and a sprinkle of chopped basil if desired.

Seal the Pizza Rolls: Fold the dough over the filling to create a triangle or rectangle. Seal the edges tightly by pressing down with your fingers or a fork to ensure they do not open during cooking.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to preheat to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly spray the pizza rolls with olive oil or brush with melted butter. This will help achieve a crispy exterior.

Air Fry the Pizza Rolls: Place the sealed pizza rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Be careful not to overcrowd; you may need to do this in batches. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Make the Marinara Sauce: While the pizza rolls are cooking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat or microwave it for about 30-60 seconds until warm.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the pizza rolls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm with the marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
