Ingredients

2 medium sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Sweet Potatoes: Start by washing and peeling the sweet potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. This ensures they cook evenly.

Soak (Optional): For extra crispiness, soak the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat them dry with a kitchen towel before proceeding.

Season the Fries: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss until the fries are evenly coated with the seasoning mix.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes to achieve that perfect crisp.

Air Fry the Fries: Place the seasoned sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It's okay if they overlap a little, but avoid overcrowding—cook in batches if necessary. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

Check for Doneness: Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes; cooking times may vary based on the thickness and your specific air fryer model. They should be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Serve: Carefully remove the fries from the air fryer, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, sriracha mayo, or aioli.
