1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

For the BBQ Sauce:

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

Burger buns (4-6, depending on serving size)

Coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)

Pickles (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork:

    - In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, and salt. This will be your dry rub.

      - Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, making sure to cover all sides.

        Slow Cook the Pork:

          - Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker.

            - Mix together apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce in a separate bowl. Pour this mixture over the pork.

              - Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.

                Make the BBQ Sauce:

                  - In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, along with salt and pepper to taste.

                    - Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, until thickened. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

                      Shred the Pork:

                        - Once cooked, carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a large cutting board. Shred the meat using two forks.

                          - Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in half of the BBQ sauce. Stir well to combine.

                            Assemble the Sandwiches:

                              - Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or a skillet.

                                - Divide the pulled pork among the buns, adding more BBQ sauce if desired.

                                  - Top each sandwich with coleslaw and pickles (if using).

                                    Serve:

                                      - Serve immediately, with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
