8 oz elbow macaroni

1 lb lobster meat, cooked and roughly chopped

4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

4 cups whole milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Macaroni: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Make the Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes to form a roux, stirring constantly. Gradually pour in the milk while continuously whisking to avoid lumps. Keep cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 5-7 minutes).

        Add the Cheeses: Lower the heat, then stir in the sharp cheddar, Gruyère, and half of the parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth. Add in cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.

          Combine the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, lobster meat, and cheese sauce. Stir gently until everything is well-coated and combined.

            Prepare for Baking: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.

              Top with Breadcrumbs: In a small bowl, mix the remaining parmesan cheese with the panko breadcrumbs. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the mac and cheese.

                Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

                  Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
