Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Bake

8 oz (225g) penne pasta

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast

6 slices of bacon, diced

1 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup frozen peas (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon and drain on paper towels. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.

        Combine Ingredients: In the same skillet, add the cooked chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, and peas (if using). Stir well and heat until warmed through.

          Mix in Creamy Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and add the ranch dressing, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the cheddar cheese, and the cooked pasta. Mix until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

            Assemble the Bake: Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Sprinkle the crispy bacon and Parmesan cheese on top.

              Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

                Garnish and Serve: Once the pasta bake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
