Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin

1 cup bell peppers (red, green, yellow) sliced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices provolone cheese (or cheese of your choice)

4 hoagie rolls (optional, for serving)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: In a medium bowl, toss the sliced chicken with Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken slices and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked and browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Veggies: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes, or until they are softened and begin to caramelize. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Combine Chicken and Veggies: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the veggies. Stir to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.

Cheesy Finish: Reduce heat to low. Place the provolone cheese slices on top of the chicken and veggie mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Optionally, split the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them. Spoon the chicken cheesesteak filling onto the rolls, or serve it directly from the skillet. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
