Ingredients

4 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded

8 slices of ham, chopped

8 slices of Swiss cheese, shredded (or more to taste)

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 cups cooked penne pasta (or any pasta of your choice)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the pasta: In a large pot, boil water and cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.

Mix the layers: In a large casserole dish, start layering the ingredients. Begin with half of the shredded chicken on the bottom, followed by half of the chopped ham, half of the cooked pasta, and half of the heavy cream sauce.

Add cheese: Sprinkle half of the shredded Swiss cheese over the top of the layered ingredients.

Repeat layers: Repeat the layering process with the remaining chicken, ham, pasta, and sauce. Top with the remaining Swiss cheese and finish with breadcrumbs for that golden crust.

Drizzle olive oil: Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the top of the casserole for added crispiness.

Bake: Cover the casserole with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.

Enjoy: Serve hot and savor each creamy, cheesy mouthful of this comforting dish!
