Ingredients

1 cup pitted Medjool dates

1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, plus extra for coating

1/2 cup raw almonds

1/4 cup cocoa powder

2 tablespoons almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (for melting and drizzling, optional)

Instructions

Soften the Dates: If your dates are not soft, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes, then drain.

Blending the Base: In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, shredded coconut, raw almonds, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract, sea salt, and maple syrup (if using). Pulse until the mixture is well combined and sticky. The texture should be somewhat chunky but should hold together when pressed.

Form the Balls: With clean hands, take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball between your palms. Repeat with the remaining mixture, placing the balls on a lined baking sheet.

Coat the Balls: Roll each bliss ball in extra shredded coconut until well coated.

Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the bliss balls to firm up.

Optional Chocolate Drizzle: If you would like to add a chocolate drizzle, melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the chilled bliss balls using a fork.

Serve & Store: Enjoy your bliss balls fresh or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
