1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

8 oz (227g) fettuccine pasta

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the diced chicken, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Allow it to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.

        Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken broth or pasta cooking water to reach your desired consistency.

          Combine: Return the cooked chicken and drained pasta with broccoli to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated with the creamy Alfredo sauce. Heat through for another 2-3 minutes.

            Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese.
