12 oz (340g) pasta of your choice (fettuccine or linguine recommended)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

Zest of 1 large lemon

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt (add more to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving

1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped (reserve some for garnish)

Optional: 1 cup cooked shrimp or grilled chicken for protein

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.

    Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
