Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and deboned

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, about 1-inch pieces. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they crisp up nicely.

Set up the Dredging Stations: In one shallow bowl, add the flour; in another, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Coat the Salmon: Take each salmon cube and coat it first in the flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it in the panko mix, pressing it gently to adhere. Set aside on a plate.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Fry the Salmon Bites: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the salmon bites in batches (avoid overcrowding). Fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Toss with Sauce: Once all the salmon bites are cooked, place them in a large bowl, drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the top, and gently toss until the bites are evenly coated.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the crispy honey garlic salmon bites immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added crunch and flavor.
