Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon:

    - Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-inch cubes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

      Set Up Breading Stations:

        - In one shallow bowl, place the all-purpose flour seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

          - In a second shallow bowl, beat the eggs.

            - In a third shallow bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs.

              Bread the Salmon:

                - Dredge each salmon piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

                  - Dip the floured salmon into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.

                    - Finally, roll the salmon in the panko breadcrumbs until fully coated. Place the breaded pieces on a plate and set aside.

                      Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

                        - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil.

                          - Stir the mixture and bring it to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

                            Fry the Salmon Bites:

                              - In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat (about 1/4 inch deep).

                                - Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded salmon bites in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding the pan.

                                  - Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. You may need to do this in batches. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.

                                    Coat in Sauce:

                                      - In a large bowl, drizzle the warm honey garlic sauce over the crispy salmon bites and gently toss to coat.

                                        Serve:

                                          - Plate the crispy honey garlic salmon bites and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with any leftover sauce on the side for dipping.
