Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

⅓ cup honey

¼ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 small taco-sized tortillas (corn or flour)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Cook the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart and cook until well browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess grease.

Add Flavor: Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly coated. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Warm the Tortillas: While the beef simmers, heat the tortillas. You can either microwave them for about 30 seconds covered with a damp paper towel or warm them on a skillet for about 30 seconds per side until they are pliable.

Assemble the Tacos: Spoon the garlic butter honey BBQ beef mixture into each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the tacos and serve with lime wedges on the side for an added zest.
