Ingredients

2 large pieces of store-bought or homemade flatbread

1 cup of pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (red and yellow for color)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Olive oil for brushing

Instructions

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 400°F). If using a charcoal grill, let the coals ash over and settle.

Prepare the Flatbreads: Brush one side of each piece of flatbread with olive oil to prevent sticking and to get a nice crispy crust.

Grill the Flatbreads: Place the flatbreads oil-side down on the grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes or until grill marks form and the bread begins to puff up.

Add Sauce and Toppings: Carefully flip the flatbreads using tongs. Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce on the grilled side of each flatbread. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, then layer on your preferred toppings: pepperoni, bell peppers, and black olives. Finish with dried oregano and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.

Cover and Cook: Clap the grill lid down and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the toppings are warmed through.

Remove from the Grill: Using tongs or a spatula, carefully remove the grilled flatbread pizzas from the grill.

Garnish and Serve: Top with fresh basil leaves for a burst of flavor. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil if desired.

Slice and Enjoy: Cut into slices and serve hot, either as an appetizer or a delicious main dish!
