Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 cups marinara sauce

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Shells: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 9-11 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Stuff the Shells: Take each cooked pasta shell and fill it generously with the spinach and cheese mixture. Place each stuffed shell seam-side up into a greased baking dish.

Add Marinara Sauce: Pour marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well-coated. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake the Dish: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve and Garnish: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
