Ingredients

12 slider buns

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed

1 cup diced pepperoni

1 cup sliced salami

1 cup sliced provolone cheese

1 cup banana peppers, sliced

1/2 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Mix the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, pepperoni, salami, banana peppers, and red onion. Drizzle in the olive oil, then sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Prepare the Buns: Cut the slider buns in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Layer the Ingredients: Spoon the sausage mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns. Top with slices of provolone cheese.

Add the Top Buns: Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese layer.

Brush with Olive Oil: In a small bowl, mix a tablespoon of olive oil with a pinch of Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns.

Bake: Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into individual sliders. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your delicious hot Italian sub sliders!
