Iced Peach Mint Tea

Ingredients
  

4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

8 cups water

4 tea bags (black or green tea)

1/4 cup honey (or to taste)

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish

Ice cubes

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

    Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for about 5 minutes before removing the bags.

      In a blender, combine the sliced peaches and the remaining 4 cups of water. Blend until smooth, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove pulp.

        Stir in the honey while the peach puree is still warm, allowing it to dissolve fully.

          Combine the peach mixture with the brewed tea in the pitcher.

            Add fresh mint leaves and gently muddle them into the tea mixture to release their flavor.

              Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least an hour until chilled.

                To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the iced peach mint tea over the ice, and garnish with additional mint leaves and lemon slices.
