Ingredients

1 large baguette, sliced into 1-inch pieces

1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 ounces)

¼ cup honey

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried rosemary)

¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Sea salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Baguette Slices: Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each side lightly with olive oil, and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and black pepper over them.

Bake the Baguette Slices: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is just toasted and lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Brie: While the baguette slices are baking, cut the Brie cheese into small wedges or slices, ensuring each piece will fit conveniently on top of the baguette slices.

Assemble the Slices: Take each toasted baguette slice and place a piece of Brie on top. Drizzle a small amount of honey over the cheese and sprinkle with chopped rosemary and nuts (if using).

Bake Again: Once assembled, return the platter to the oven for an additional 7-10 minutes, or until the Brie has melted and is bubbling.

Finish with Glaze: Carefully remove from the oven. If desired, drizzle with balsamic glaze for an added touch of sweetness and depth.

Serve: Serve immediately while warm, allowing guests to indulge in the creamy, melty Brie paired with the sweet honey and aromatic rosemary. Enjoy with a glass of wine for the perfect appetizer!
