Mini Breakfast Biscuit Pizza Melts

Ingredients
  

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1/4 cup diced bell pepper

1/4 cup diced onions

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 large egg (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

    Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the biscuit dough can and separate the dough into 8 individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small round disc about 1/4 inch thick.

      Assemble the Melts:

        - On half of the flattened biscuits, sprinkle a tablespoon of mozzarella cheese.

          - Top each with an equal amount of cooked breakfast sausage, diced bell pepper, onions, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.

            - Add another tablespoon of mozzarella cheese on top of the toppings.

              - Place the remaining flattened biscuits on top of the prepared biscuit stacks to create pizzas.

                Seal the Edges: Use a fork to gently press down on the edges to seal the biscuit pizzas well.

                  Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the biscuit melts with the egg wash for a golden finish.

                    Bake: Place the assembled mini breakfast biscuit pizza melts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

                      Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
