1 pound boneless, skinless chicken tenders

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 cup seasoned flour (flour mixed with your choice of seasonings like paprika, garlic powder, and pepper)

Oil for frying

For the Maple Glaze:

1/2 cup maple syrup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Optional Garnish:

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare the Waffle Batter:

    - In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

      - In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

        - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; lumps are okay.

          Cook the Waffles:

            - Preheat a mini waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

              - Lightly grease it with cooking spray or brush it with oil.

                - Pour a small amount of batter into the waffle maker (about 2-3 tablespoons) and cook until golden brown and crisp. Repeat until all batter is used. Set aside to cool slightly.

                  Prepare the Chicken:

                    - Soak the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize.

                      - Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
