1 French baguette (about 12 inches)

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), drained

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon balsamic glaze (optional)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Baguette: Slice the French baguette into 1-inch thick pieces. You should end up with about 10-12 slices.

      Make the Topping Mixture: In a bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until the ingredients are well coated.

        Assemble the Baguette Melts: Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Spoon a generous amount of the tomato and mozzarella mixture onto each slice. If you're using grated Parmesan, sprinkle a little on top of each.

          Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden.

            Garnish: Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for added flavor and a pop of color.
