Ingredients

1 cup almond flour

1/4 cup coconut flour

1/3 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup creamy almond butter (or peanut butter)

1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (for drizzling on top, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, brown sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Add Wet Ingredients: Add almond butter and maple syrup to the dry mixture. Pour in the vanilla extract. Using a spatula or your hands, mix until a thick dough forms. If the dough feels too dry, you can add a teaspoon of water or almond milk one at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Shape the Bars: Transfer the dough into the prepared baking dish. Press it down firmly and evenly using a spatula or your hands.

Chill the Bars: Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or foil and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Prepare the Chocolate Drizzle: If using, melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Drizzle over the chilled bars for a delicious finish.

Cut and Serve: Once the bars are firm, lift them out of the dish using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or bars. Serve and enjoy!
