1 large green cabbage

4 tablespoons olive oil

6 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Cabbage: Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into thick slices (about 1-inch wide) to create steaks. You should get about 4-6 steaks from one large cabbage.

      Mix the Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic oil mixture.

        Coat the Cabbage Steaks: Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush both sides of each steak generously with the garlic oil mixture. If desired, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the steaks for extra flavor.

          Roast the Cabbage Steaks: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Roast the cabbage steaks for about 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through until they are tender and have caramelized edges.
