4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style preferred)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Prepare Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Set up a breading station by placing flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and a mix of breadcrumbs and half of the grated Parmesan in a third dish.

    Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat the chicken with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

      Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until they’re golden brown and thoroughly cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

        Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally. Bring to a simmer.

          Season the Sauce: Stir in the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), and the remaining grated Parmesan cheese. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-5 minutes.

            Combine with Chicken: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, allowing them to warm in the creamy garlic sauce for another 2-3 minutes.
