Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1/2 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

12 slider buns

4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Sliced tomatoes for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, basil pesto, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small slider patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the Sliders: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Melt the Cheese (optional): If using mozzarella, place one slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assemble the Sliders: On each slider bun, place a patty and add fresh basil leaves and sliced tomatoes if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

Bake (optional): For extra warmth and to crisp up the buns, you can place assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve hot, garnished with extra basil if desired.
