Ingredients

1 medium ripe pineapple, peeled, cored, and diced

2 ripe mangoes, peeled, pitted, and diced

1 red bell pepper, finely chopped

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional for extra heat)

Juice of 2 limes

1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional)

Salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple and mango. Make sure the pieces are evenly sized for even flavor distribution.

Add the finely chopped red bell pepper and red onion to the bowl. These will add crunch and flavor to your salsa.

If you like a bit of heat, include the minced jalapeño. Adjust the quantity based on your heat preference.

Stir in the chopped cilantro, which will add a fresh herbaceous note to the salsa.

Squeeze the juice of two limes over the mixture. This not only adds a zesty flavor but also helps preserve the vibrant colors of your fruits.

If desired, drizzle in a teaspoon of honey or agave syrup for added sweetness, especially if your fruits are not super sweet.

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir everything gently to combine, taking care not to mash the fruit.

Allow the salsa to sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or in the refrigerator for an hour. This resting time allows the flavors to meld beautifully.

Serve the Pineapple Mango Salsa with tortilla chips, grilled fish, or as a topping for tacos. Enjoy the tropical vibes!
