Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats

2 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Start by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispier texture when cooked.

Make the Spice Mix: In a large mixing bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the spices are evenly distributed.

Season the Wings: Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken wings, and then add the spice mix. Toss the wings until they are fully coated in the spice mixture.

Marinate: Ideally, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the wings marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. For more flavor, marinate for up to 4 hours.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If you have a convection setting, use it for an even crisper finish.

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This allows air to circulate and helps in achieving crispy wings.

Bake the Wings: Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Make the Garlic Sauce: While the wings are baking, prepare the garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the minced garlic, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over medium-low, stirring occasionally until the garlic is fragrant but not browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Toss in Sauce: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the garlic sauce over the wings and toss gently until evenly coated.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the wings to a serving platter, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks on the side.
