Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup warm water (about 110°F)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add in the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Cook gently for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release excess air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, about 8 inches long, and then tie it into a knot. Place the knotted rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush with Garlic Butter: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Once the rolls are shaped and placed on the baking sheet, generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each roll, making sure to get some of the garlic and parsley on top. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt.

Bake the Rolls: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Serve and Enjoy: Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and brush with any remaining garlic butter. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your freshly toasted garlic knotted rolls warm with your favorite dip or soup!
